Teatro Pubblico Pugliese

Since its establishment in 1979, Teatro Pubblico Pugliese (TPP-, now referred to as Teatro Pubblico Pugliese – Regional Consortium for Arts and Culture) has carried out an uninterrupted work that mirrors the peculiarities of the territory of Puglia, with the aim of spreading widely the culture of theater, dance, children’s theater, contemporary circus and music in the vast and diversified territory of this land. Over the years, TPP has also proved to be a multifaceted organization which is called upon to renew itself further to face new challenges, being part of a constantly evolving international and national system and embracing its three-fold function.

The Regional Multidisciplinary Art Circuit of Puglia, recognized by the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Puglia, Region which aims to promote and develop audiences, is a consortium of 61 municipalities, programming and promoting theater, dance, children’s theater, contemporary circus and music shows throughout Puglia. With 82 seasons, 72 spaces in use, almost 800 shows and an audience totalling over 170,000 each year, it is one of the leading regional multidisciplinary art circuits in Italy.  [Learn more by browsing Puglia Live Shows Schedule].

The Puglia Region in-house company. TPP mission in terms of special projects is played out in close collaboration with the Puglia Region, through coordination, streamlining and monitoring activities. TPP is one of the Puglia Region in-house companies, a governance agency that plays an important role in the promotion of interactions across with the different areas of development of the Region: from education to employment, from business internationalization to economic development, from tourism to transportation and accessibility. Starting from 2017, the mission of the TPP also has been broadened to include the enhancement of the attractiveness of the Puglia region as well as the enhancement and promotion of its cultural and environmental attractors through live performances, performing arts and cultural activities. Lead partner or simply partner within European Cooperation projects. Over the years, TPP has designed and managed many cross-border cooperation projects together with international partners. From INTERREGs to PONs (National Action Plans), to Erasmus + putting in place countless actions designed to support local communities in the creation of virtuous networks in a sharing perspective.
